Accessibility Handle for Doro 1360 Mobile Phone

This is a handle which is designed to clip onto a Doro 1360 Mobile Phone to aid grip. It is for those with weaker hands and/or limited mobility, and means that if grip is lost, the phone remains in the hand rather than dropping.

The handle has been designed in 2 parts. Simply align the notches on the clip and handle (noting the up arrow printed on the handle), then slide the 2 parts together onto the Doro 1360 mobile phone from the bottom.

Homecraft Pick-Up Reacher Modification

This is a 3D-printed modification to the Homecraft Rolyan Pick-Up Reacher. The work was undertaken as part of a project for Remap. Remap is a UK-registered charity that custom-make equipment to help disabled people live more independent lives.

The problem with the standard grabber was that it only pinches the sides of an object if you pick it up from lying down. The modification with wider jaws and a design that curves round means that it can get underneath the object to ‘scoop’ it… making it easier to pick up (and also maintain hold with a weaker grip).

This short video demonstrates the benefits of using the modification compared to the original…

Remap Project Coordinator

For each arm there are two 3D-printed parts. The main arm and an aesthetic cap (as illustrated in the images below). For security a small amount of hot-glue was used. For additional security, the design has a recess for a short screw to be added. Finally, for additional grip / friction, a silicon strip was glued along the contact edge (you can see this in blue on the video above). This strip can be made from a pair of rubber gloves or a swimming cap if you’re unable to source suitable material.

Accessibility Handle for Alcatel 1066 Mobile Phone

This is a handle which is designed to clip onto an Alcatel 1066 Mobile Phone to aid grip. It is for those with weaker hands and/or limited mobility, and means that if grip is lost, the phone remains in the hand rather than dropping.

There are two versions of the handle. The first is rigid and can easily be removed when the phone is stored in a bag or pocket. The second is collapsible, so there is no need to remove it for storage.

The handle has been designed in 2 parts. The clip slides easily onto the phone, then the handle simply clicks in place and holds them all together. The handle can easily be detached when the phone it stored in a pocket or bag. The collapsible handle can be left attached to the phone (there is more information about this at the bottom of this article).

Collapsible Handle

The articulated connector collapsible handle can be downloaded from here. It is compatible with the clip for the Alcatel 1066 and many other of our own ENABL3D.ME accessibility aids.

You can print as many links as needed and add/remove links as necessary in order to make the handle the perfect fit (as seen in this video). If you don’t own a 3D printer, we can 3D print these for you.

This is a handle which is designed to clip onto a BT 4600 DECT Phone to aid grip. It is for those with weaker hands and/or limited mobility, and means that if grip is lost, the phone remains in the hand rather than dropping.

Thanks to ENABL3D.ME, I am thrilled with the handle for my phone. I am no longer worried about dropping it, which I frequently did, being unable to pick it up from being seated in my wheelchair. Just when I really needed it.

New and Improved Design

An updated design (illustrated below) has been release in Sept 2019 with the following improvements:

  • The clip is much stronger
    • It almost impossible to snap during normal everyday use
    • It will not stretch and get loose over time
  • The interlocking mechanism has been simplified
    • It is easier to use
    • It is no longer prone to wear
  • The handle is more comfortable to hold
    • The design is more ergonomic
    • All the edges have been rounded

Door Knob Lever Adapter

This device is to help people with arthritis or anyone having difficulty in twisting their wrists. To open door simply apply a downward force with one or two fingers and pull door forward. A knurled area provides a non slip grip.

It installs in minutes and is designed to work with a common Qwikset 1.875″ (47.6mm) diameter round door knob. A single #6 x 1/2 inch long sheet metal screw clamps the adaptor tightly to the door knob, it can be mounted for left or right hand operation.

This is an Occupational Therapy toolkit for a Quadriplegic or people with limited hand mobility. The 90 degree bracket is meant to go inside the hand and then the finger shaped part can be stuck onto that using the appropriate angled block.

This kit is consist of several rings and holders which can be combined to construct different types of utilities. This kit can create finger stilts, knife mount for cutting, water bottle handle, and many more.

The platform can be used with Velcro straps to attach around the palm of the hand.
